The bottom rail is flush with the ground for pool code regulations. The Bay Breeze aluminum fence will not rust, fade, or peel. The specifications for our powder coat used on our aluminum fence is 2604. It has over 3000 hours of sunlight and is run through a 5 stage cleaning process before being painted.

BOCA Pool Code

• The fence must be at least 48″ tall
• The mid-rail must be at least 45″ above the bottom rail. Some fence styles, if chosen, may have to be taller than 48″ to meet this part of the code requirement
• The spacing between pickets must be less than 4″
• The space between the bottom rail and the ground must be less than 4″
• The gate(s) must be self-closing.
• The gate(s) must be self-latching and locking.
• The gate(s) need to open out (away from the pool area)
• The opening mechanism of the latch must be at least 54″ above ground

The pool safety fences meet all these standards, as manufactured, as long as they are installed less than 4″ above the ground. It is recommend that all pool fences be flush bottom, which means the lower rail is flush so no pickets are exposed at the bottom of the fence. To meet BOCA safety codes, any spear top style must be at least 60″ tall. Check with your local BOCA safety codes.

Our Gates come with 2×2 welded uprights.

All gates are available in single or double leaf construction, and in a straight or arched style. Single-leaf swing gates fit standard openings of 3’, 4’, 5’, and 6’. Double-leaf swing gates fit standard openings of 6’, 8’, 10’, and 12’. We also offer custom gates to fit whatever projects you have in mind. (call today for options) Cantilever gates are also available for industrial-grade applications. These gates accommodate openings of 8’ to 20’, or up to 40’ with a double-cantilever configuration. Our gates come with 2×2 welded uprights. The 2 inch uprights are a nice finishing touch to your gate once installed. It lines up nicely with the rest of the fence. Gates are the most commonly used part of the fence, so a sturdy welded upright is what you need. Hardware is sold separately.
